3. Information used by the iOS app
Information you enter
The app can store a first name, baby nickname, due date, appointment details, personal notes, mood, hydration count, selected symptom labels, movement sessions, contraction timings, reminder preferences and checklist status.
Where this information goes
This information is processed in local app storage on your device. It is not sent to us, sold, rented, used for advertising, or used to build a profile about you. Luma Mama does not use HealthKit and does not claim to measure or diagnose any medical condition.
Widgets, Live Activities and notifications
If you enable them, the app shares only the minimum required information with its own WidgetKit extension through an Apple app-group container on your device. Lock Screen pregnancy details are off by default. Local notifications are created on your device after permission is granted. A movement session can appear as a Live Activity until you end it. Apple controls the system surfaces on which widgets, notifications and Live Activities appear.
Device backups
Depending on your iPhone and Apple account settings, Apple’s device-backup service may include app data in an encrypted device backup. We do not receive or control those backups. You can manage backups in iOS Settings.
4. Website information
This presentation and support website does not intentionally use analytics, advertising pixels, tracking cookies, account registration or contact forms. Like most hosting services, our hosting provider may temporarily process technical request information such as IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser information, and security logs to deliver and protect the site. This processing is for service delivery, security and abuse prevention.
Do not send medical records or urgent health information through general support channels.
6. Retention and deletion
In-app information remains on your device until you delete it using Settings → Erase all Luma Mama data or uninstall the app, subject to any device backup you control. Because we do not hold a server copy, we cannot restore deleted app data.
Support correspondence, if any, is retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain basic business records, or meet legal obligations. Hosting security logs are retained according to the hosting provider’s operational schedule.
7. Security
Local processing reduces exposure, but no device or service can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your iPhone with a passcode, keep iOS updated, review Lock Screen visibility choices, and avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in free-text notes.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal data that a controller holds, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Most Luma Mama app data is under your direct control on the device and is not available to us.
For personal data in a support communication, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your request. In France, you may also contact the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL).
9. Legal basis and international processing
Where EU/EEA or UK data-protection law applies, technical website processing is based on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the site, and support correspondence is processed to respond to your request or take steps you ask us to take. Our hosting provider may process technical data in locations described in its own documentation and contractual safeguards.
10. Children
Luma Mama is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. The app provides pregnancy organization and general educational context, not pediatric or child-directed services.

Luma Mama is not a medical device, diagnostic service, monitoring system, or emergency service. It does not provide a diagnosis, treatment recommendation or individualized medical advice. Always follow your qualified maternity team’s guidance. Contact local emergency services for urgent help.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, website, law or service providers change. The effective date and version at the top will be updated. Material changes will be communicated in the app or on this website when appropriate.
